Frequently asked questions.

What is Reverse?

Reverse is an early-stage start-up dedicated to supporting young people to avoid Type 2 diabetes. A response to the stark rise in chronic condition prevalence (80,000 more young people ages 15-25 will be diagnosed with a chronic condition this year compared to last year), Reverse works to deliver a new kind of preventative care, outside of the clinic.

How does the program work?

A participant joins the platform, we get to know them deeper than the 15 minutes their doctor has to spare, and then we suggest health coaches based on their preferences. Participants track SMART and holistic health goals, and receive support to meet them, including unsticking thorny barriers to health.

What does a health coach do?

A health coach is a volunteer that provides guidance, support, and encouragement to participants. They are relatable and able to offer situational advice based on best practices.

What does success look like?

Reduction of Type 2 diabetes risk factors among participating youth. Increased health knowledge, confidence, and self-efficacy in young people. Notable adoption of sustainable healthy lifestyle habits.
